I have a 1809 half cent coin, USA what might it be worth? What should I look for on coin?

In average circulated condition your 1809 half cent ranges in value between $40 and $450. In new unused condition it can be worth from $450 up to $5,100. And in full gem mint red condition this coin would be worth $10,000. However, if your coin is corroded it would be valued between $10 and $20.
As you can see, there is a tremendous range of values for your coin. If you would like an accurate assessment please bring your half cent to our shop for a free written appraisal. Regardless of its condition, please do not attempt to clean it. Doing so could significantly reduce its value.
